James "Jim" Gambarota

As a retired hospital executive, Jim has switched lanes in this latest phase of his life and enjoys providing tax preparation and planning to many clients, as well as tutoring undergraduate and graduate students in accounting and taxes.  

Jim operates with the idea that “Some clients like to understand their tax obligation and some just want them done”, and he tries to accommodate them according to their desires.  He enjoys his work because it keeps his mind engaged as in learning and teaching.  Further, he is committed to minimizing tax liabilities within the IRS code.

Jim joined Financial ServiCenter in 2017 after being an accounting and financial professional in the health care industry.  Jim graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1975 with a degree in accounting after serving in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1974.  Each year he continues his education with various tax webinars and an avid student of options investing.  He is a registered Illinois CPA having passed the exam in 1978.  Further tax credentials were added when he earned his Enrolled Agent certificate in 2016.

Jim resides in Orland Park with Roslyn.  They have ten grandchildren with three in the local area and seven scattered in Texas, Tennessee and Georgia.  They enjoy quiet nights at home.
