Philip A. "Phil" Sgariglia

Phil is the founder of our firm, establishing it in 1972. He thoroughly enjoys educating clients as he helps them develop personalized financial plans and strategies.  Just as valuable is his willingness and ability to share his vast knowledge of tax preparation & financial planning with colleagues to better serve clients and their families.

Through his educational approach, Phil emphasizes helping clients make informed decisions for their personalized financial strategy. He has conducted financial planning seminars for credit unions and other groups, been an instructor for the National Center for Financial Education, taught classes at Joliet Junior, Kiwanis and Knights of Columbus.

A longtime resident of the Lincolnway area, Phil has been actively involved in the community, having held offices in the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, several St. Jude Parish committees, Illinois Credit Union League, American Italian Cultural Society and Knights of Columbus.

Phil graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI with a BS degree in Accounting and did post-graduate work at Northwestern University (Marketing) and Governors State University (Finance). He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the College for Financial Planning.

Phil and his wife Margaret divide their time between their home in Miromar Lakes FL, and maintain their home Mokena, IL to visit family and friends up north during the during the warmer months. They have four adult children and eight grandchildren. They have been active parishioners of St. Jude Church in New Lenox for decades. They enjoy traveling, especially European river cruises and to see relatives in Italy.
